Module Brief

Game Design and Mechanics

The purpose of this module was to focus on the planning and pre production work that should go into every project. We were tasked to create a full design document for a game based on a film from the 1990's. I decided to go with one of my personal favourites, Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Going into this module I had never created a design document or even a basic pre production document and I think this really helped me focus and understand the importance of having a good solid plan with mechanics and ideas thought through before jumping straight into production.
